Planetarium Live! Is the show for YOU to learn all about space news, what you can see in the nighttime sky. We will also cover a special topic each month, selected by our team full of astronomy experts!

What’s up is our special theme of the month! This month’s theme is: Animals in the Space Race

A very good dog, Laika, was the first animal to orbit Earth in November of 1957. Now, we look back at some of the quirky, but adorable, animals who helped humanity get to the moon during the Space Race.

What’s in will be the hot topic space news… which we won’t know until the showtime! Has there just been a space launch? Is there a rumor going around that we found aliens? What about news of a potentially crashing asteroid! Our Astronomy experts will select the hottest topics in space news to talk about.

What’s Around will talk all about the constellations you can see, and astronomy events you can attend to get involved, from local community astronomy club meetings, to star parties hosted by the planetarium, and other events going on in the community!
